"From Homeless, Illiterate, To Financially Independent Mentor To Many..."

Let entrepreneur, investor, author, speaker and trainer, Roy Tasker (aka Mr Metaphor) inspire your audience or staff and move them to excellence... find out how!

By Janet Rittzle

"I grew up at or below poverty level, if there's such a thing," says Baltimore, Maryland speaker and success coach, Roy Tasker. "Abusive alcoholism from my father -- mentally, physically and spiritually.

"He kept me "caged" in our yard, never allowed to go anywhere. And I pretty much got beaten every day."
Roy, who was unable to read or write until he was 35-years-old explains, "Reading and writing got stifled early due to the home life and the fear. The whole family was regularly beaten and smacked around. It was more of a survival mode day-by-day."

A vivid memory from Roy's childhood... "My dad had a very interesting way of showing me how to spell Mississippi.

"He beat my face into the table holding me by the
hair on the back of my head and driving my face
into the table with each letter of Mississippi."

Unwilling to accept the cards he had been dealt in life, Roy has clearly become an extraordinary success. He's gone from homeless and sleeping in a rusted out old Suburban with his five children, to living in a seven room well-appointed house and driving his $53,000.00 "Cowboy Cadillac and his $74,000 "Hummer."

Today, Roy Tasker lives where he wishes, drives what makes him happy, and wears whatever pleases him. In fact, Roy is living the life of his dreams -- personally, professional, spiritually and financially.

But, life wasn't always this rosy...
Roy remembers, "I was actually homeless while trying to learn to read and write. That didn't even happen until the age of 35.

"Prior to that I was homeless, living in a Suburban with my five kids. I had a two-year old, three-year old, four-year old, five-year old and six-year old," says Roy, who's wife abandoned him and the children.

"Finally, I pulled up to some railroad tracks at 9:00 o'clock one night in a little country town, and was going to end it all."I thought it over and over in my head, and I decided that's it. I can't take the shame any more. I can't take the hunger any more. I can't keep eating out of these dumpsters any more. It's not fair. It's not fair."

"Then, in a suicidal moment of desperation..."

"I pulled to the railroad track. I'm getting ready to end it and my two-year old wakes up at the last minute right before the train comes and says, 'Daddy what are we doing.' And I backed up very quickly. The train just missed us by inches.

"As I sat there I cried for hours and hours and hours. I was screaming and hitting on the steering wheel.
A Turning Point!

That night Roy's life changed forever, and
he set out on the road to success.

In just a few short years, Roy built a successful general contracting business. He went on to start two more successful companies in landscaping and real estate investing. It suddenly seemed like everything he touched turned to gold.

When asked about the "secrets" to wealth, prosperity and happiness, Roy simplifies it. "It's more or less a self made decision. Saying, 'Okay, this is not the life I want.'

"It's really basic fundamental ways of using your higher faculties. What I have done was really simple. I didn't make it difficult because at that point I didn't know any technical words or anything," says Roy.

"This is the key
to becoming rich..."

"It is understanding the mind, how to see and believe, and use your higher faculties. Then, people, things, and events in your present environment will be moved around in such a way to where it works in your favor.

"It is the key elixir to all fame, all fortune, all peace, all joy, all love and all financial freedom. Because all mind truly is one mind. You must grasp that and understand that there's nothing in this world that you cannot have, be or do.

"Forgive Yourself..."

Roy adds, "The first step is stop being angry. Forgive yourself. Don't be angry at others. Take responsibility. Responsibility is the key to freedom. Don't wait for someone else to do your work. Forgive them. Forgive yourself. Focus your energy on what you want. Be thankful for what you have and what you want. Write your life script.

Roy Tasker is more than just an entrepreneur, investor, author and speaker. He's one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet ... with an amazing story to tell.
